The Saskatchewan Court of Appeal has released a judgment that re-affirms the deference that trial Court's have to give to sentence submissions that are jointly submitted by counsel.  The trial judge had initially imposed a 12 month jail sentence.  However the Court of Appeal allowed the appeal and imposed a sentence of 5 months jail, which had been originally recommended by both Crown and defence counsel.  R. v.
